These past ten years, A Great Idea has had the honor of bringing award-winning creativity, strategy, and storytelling to incredible mission-led organizations and advocates working to create change in their communities. Across local grassroots movements to national campaigns, every single project we work on we bring our belief that design and communications can be powerful tools for advocacy.
As we celebrate 10 years together, we’re highlighting 10 projects that shaped the trajectory of this decade’s work, collaboration, and possibility:
Mind My Health Launch
- We developed and launched Mind My Health, a platform to reimagine access to health data. This project combined front-end web development services, healthcare website design, and user experience design consulting to create a tool that empowers individuals and communities to better understand and manage their health.
Be Possible Installation
- Through immersive installation and design, Be Possible used collateral design and marketing collateral design to spark dialogue about race and social justice. This project illustrates how creative environments, paired with copywriting services and narrative strategy, can drive cultural transformation.
Amida Care’s My Body, My PrEP
- Working with Amida Care, we launched My Body, My PrEP, an awareness campaign that addressed stigma while promoting HIV prevention. By integrating social media content creation services, nonprofit email marketing, and banner ad design, the campaign reached diverse audiences with culturally resonant messaging.
Selena’s Story
- We produced Selena’s Story, a short film advocating for domestic violence survivors’ right to safe leave. This work exemplifies our expertise in nonprofit video production and outsource video editing services, showing how video production for nonprofits can humanize policy issues and inspire action.
WOCIP Magazine
- For the Women of Color in Pharma (WOCIP) magazine, we created a publication showcasing leadership and representation. Our annual report design services and brochure design services approach transformed the magazine into both a resource and a tool for empowerment—demonstrating our versatility as an annual report design agency.
People USA Brand
- With People USA, we aligned digital strategy with their peer-led mental health mission. The project combined custom web development services, services UI design, and landing page development services, resulting in a refreshed online platform that deepened trust and expanded impact.
Tyler Clementi Foundation’s Keep It Cool
- The Keep It Cool campaign used bold design and youth-centered messaging to fight cyberbullying. Our work spanned digital ad design, web banner ad design, and social media management services packages to maximize reach and create meaningful culture change online.
Just Transition Fund Platform
- We partnered with the Just Transition Fund to launch a digital hub supporting communities moving beyond coal. By combining custom web development services with content strategy, the platform provided accessible resources for sustainable, community-driven futures.
Unity Walk
- Thousands came together for the Unity Walk, a moment of solidarity and hope. Our creative strategy included designs signage, collateral design, and social media content creation services. This collaboration ensured that every element of the experience communicated unity, belonging, and purpose.
Graphic Design USA Site Evolution
- We collaborated with Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) to modernize their website. By applying front-end web development services, custom web development services, and user experience design consulting, we enhanced functionality and accessibility as we brought in excellent design. This ensured the platform reflected GDUSA’s design expertise and thought leadership.
